36 holes of publicly playable golf on the creeks and ponds and inlets adjacent to Newport Bay. Ocean City Golf Club is less than two miles inland from Assateague State Park and it's about a nine mile drive to the southern end of the beach in Ocean City.
The Newport Bay and Seaside Courses
The Newport Bay course at Ocean City Golf Club is the more watery of the courses here. It's on the west side of the property and you'll have great bay and marsh views on pretty much every hole. There are four sets of tees from which to choose, from the Red (5,205 yards) to the Black (6,657 yards).
The Seaside course is no less scenic, although with a bit less water and a few more trees to deal with. The length is similar to the Newport Bay course, ranging from 5,095 to 6,701 yards.
Tee times are available to the public and there are two levels of membership offered for unlimited greens fees and other discounts.
Ocean City Golf Club Amenities
The facilities in the Clubhouse are available for golf outings, as well as weddings, meetings and other special events. The club has indoor and outdoor spaces for dining where lunch and dinner are served.

Golf Courses Near Assateague State Park
Ocean City GC is less than a mile from the bridge that'll take you from the mainland to Assateague Island. The courses are on the peninsula that separates Sinepuxent Bay and Newport Bay. It's not the only golf course in the neighborhood, Rum Pointe is on the opposite side of South Point Road.
While Chincoteague Island is only about 24 miles from here on a straight line across the water, it's about an hour's drive when you allow for the required trip north then west then south then east.
