The Links at Lighthouse Sound is a public daily-fee course on the waterfront north of the bridges to Ocean City.
Memorable Golf Experience Near Ocean City
The Links at Lighthouse Sound is easily one of the nicest courses in the Ocean City area and one of the best publicly playable venues in Maryland. Tree-lined holes, shots over marshland, the longest cart bridge you'll probably ever see, an abundance of wildlife and great views of the Ocean City skyline are all hallmarks of this great golf course.
Course designer Arthur Hills was given the opportunity to work with an excellent piece of land and made the most of it. It may be a visual feast but it's also a good golfing challenge. Five sets of tees play between 4,553 and 7,031 yards.

Lighthouse Sound sits on a point that extends into Assawoman Bay, less than two miles north of the Ocean City Expressway intersection with St. Martin's Neck Road. This may be the least walkable course you'll find in Maryland. The course covers some serious acreage (it's about 1.5 miles between the sixth tee and the 14th green) and then there's that 1,500 foot cart bridge that takes you from the 10th to 11th holes. It's the course closest to Ocean City, about two miles "as the crow flies" and just a four mile drive across the expressway bridge.
