Fairway Hills is located near the intersection of US Route 29 (Columbia Pike) and Route 108 (Clarksville Pike), about three miles north of The Mall in Columbia.
Columbia Association Public Golf Course
Fairway Hills is one of two clubs owned and operated by the Columbia Association (Hobbit's Glen is the other). While membership in the association has golf benefits, the course is also open for play by non-members. There are several women's and men's leagues offered during golf season. The par 70 course plays to a little over 6,000 yards, but adds some water on 12 of 18 holes to keep things challenging despite the short-ish length. In addition to the course the facility has the usual practice spots: driving range, putting green, practice bunker.

Fairway Hills Golf Club is on the north side of the famous planned community of Columbia, Maryland. The course is adjacent to Route 29 and just south of its intersection with MD Route 108. The Little Patuxent River runs through the property with the par 3 12th hole played across the river. Creeks that feed the river come into play on several holes. The course is in the Wilde Lake neighborhood. The big Centennial Park and Centennial Lake are just north of here.
