Located in the suburbs northwest of Washington DC, Congressional Country Club is one of the most famous clubs in Maryland.

It's probably safe to say that Congressional Country Club is the favorite Maryland club of the major US golf organizations. The club has hosted U.S. Opens, PGA Championships, Senior US Opens and annual PGA Tour events of various names (AT&T National, Booz Allen Classic, Kemper Open).
The club has two courses, the Blue and the Gold. The Blue course was given a major renovation in 2020 and was selected to be the venue for the 2027 Women's PGA Championship, the 2031 PGA Championship and the 2037 Ryder Cup.

Congressional is just outside the beltway in Montgomery County, a little over a mile from the River Road exit off I-495. This area northwest of DC is loaded with thousands of homes and lots of great golf. TPC at Avenel, Bethesda Country Club and Burning Tree Club are all within two miles of Congressional.
