Ocean City has made a great effort to become a golf destination in recent years - the current group of excellent Ocean City area courses is proof of success. There aren't any courses located on the barrier island of Ocean City, but there's plenty of former farmland a few miles inland that has been transformed by some of the game's best golf course architects. In addition to the courses in Maryland, there's also a nice group of courses a few miles north in Delaware.
